‘The SPD parliamentary party calls on the federal government to take the importance of infant and maternal mortality within the context of the development cooperation seriously and provide the necessary financial and human resources. Urgent action is needed. Action plans against maternal deaths are required. In countries which are particularly affected, they need to be implemented immediately to improve the situation until 2015.’
